Houston Ford
Q: I’m going to help my teenager son get a car at the Houston Ford lot near us. I’ve never bought a car for a teen before and I want to get it right. Has anyone else done this?
A: Oh, you poor thing! I took my son to the Houston Ford dealer last year to get his car, and it was worse than when he was little and we used to go to the toy store. Good luck!
But to answer your question, I think you should think about your insurance while you’re getting your son a car. The kind of car that you pick from the Houston Ford dealer could mean either a really high quote or a low one. Like, think about getting him a car that’s not too big or small, avoid SUVs and big trucks, make sure it’s not to new (try the Houston Ford pre owned), get safety features, etc., etc.
A: I think I’ll chime in here, too. I bought my daughter a car from the pre owned Houston Ford dealer several months ago. We split the car note and we’re doing pretty good with it, all around. I think that the primary aspect that you should be looking at is safety.
Even my daughter was on board for the safety part. The reason for this, I think, is because a friend of hers died in a car crash two years ago, and it really affected her. The girl’s seventeen year old sister (who survived) had been driving. This scared me to the point that I felt like I would never want my daughter to drive, but she has been really responsible.
The Houston Ford dealer that we chose was very helpful. They explained all of the safety features to us and how they helped to prevent car accidents. The man even quoted statistics! Before you go to the Houston Ford dealer to get a car for your son, please try to find out about the different kinds of safety features, because it could end up saving him. I know that if the sister of my daughter’s friend had had something like anti lock brakes, then the car accident might not have been so bad when she hit the brakes on an icy road.
